Who: New Volunteers to assist our Soup Van Team at our Traralgon Soup Van.

When: Immediately! We need you more than ever. 

Tuesday  2pm - 5.30pm Preparation

             5.30pm - 8.30pm Street Run and Clean Up

Friday    2pm - 5.30pm Preparation

             5.30pm - 8.30pm Street Run and Clean Up

Where: We are looking for volunteers for our Traralgon Soup Van!

SVDP Assistance Centre 41 - 43 Kay Street Traralgon (corner Breed and Kay Street)

Requirements: No previous experience is required! If you have a passion for giving a 'hand up' to individuals experiencing disadvantage, a positive attitude, want to make new friends, then we’d love to hear from you! A Working with Children’s Check, Police Check and Food Handler Certificate are required before you commence, and are arranged and paid for by Vinnies.

 What might I be doing? There are many opportunities with our Soup Van Team!

  • Assisting with making and packing Food Hampers 
  • Delivery Food Hampers and Packages to those we serve in the community

  A little about us:

Traralgon Soup Van commenced service in 2018, and supports the communities of Traralgon each Tuesday and Churchill each Friday. Future growth may include additional days and service to other nearby towns in LaTrobe Valley.

As we come out of COVID-19 restrictions, the Traralgon Soup Van is planning to resume public street stops, in addition to the continuing residential hamper deliveries.

 All activities are conducted in with the approved SVDP COVID-19 Safety Plan.
