Are you looking for a volunteering opportunity that can make a real difference? Just one shift a week is all it takes.

 

We are seeking volunteers for our Welfare Call Centre located in Box Hill. Our Welfare Call Centre team provides support and hope to families across the Melbourne metropolitan area. As a volunteer in this team, you will be helping connect people with our members that conduct home visits.

No day is the same in our busy Welfare Call Centre. You will be answering calls, completing data entry and liaising with the Supervisor in a fast-paced environment.

Our Call Centre operates five days a week, Monday to Friday. We require Volunteers who are available from 9:45am – 3:15pm, with the ability to commit to a minimum of one shift a week for a period of at least six months.

 

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Sound knowledge in operating a computer.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. 
  • The ability to act with empathy and without judgement.
  • An ability to build rapport in a respectful manner with individuals from a range of backgrounds and cultures.
  • A 'Can Do' attitude and ability to contribute positively to a team environment.
  • The ability to commit to a minimum of one shift a week for at least 6 months.

We will have an online Information Session about being a Call Centre Volunteer on Wednesday 31stth July from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.

 

There will be a mandatory full training day for potential volunteers in August.
